The paragraph that hit me from my consulting work observations is the following:
“When you get complacent, though, that’s where the risk happens. When you become entitled and you say “you know what? I do not want to change. I don’t want to adapt. I’m too good for that”. Or “I already know everything I need to know because I’ve always done it that way.”
It seems the workforce discipline and accountability from top to bottom in organizations has evolved over the years to be complacent at best. Whether this is the influence the organization structure, social media, television, movies , videos, society etc, it is time for all of us to look in the mirror daily and ask ourselves what are our true values and are we living them on a daily basis.
