In 1979, Michael founded CBS Global LLC as a business intermediary. By carefully considering all essential components involved in a successful transition, Michael is able to deliver consistently superior results to his clients around the world. These results are fueled in part by a customized marketing strategy that utilizes state-of-the-art resources to effectively represent buyers and sellers alike. His areas of expertise include real estate investments and 1031 Starker Exchanges. Michael’s specific areas of specialization are mergers and acquisitions, manufacturing/distribution firms, and transportation companies.

Michael believes that the single most notable difference between the intermediaries of Creative Business Services and other firms is the extremely high level of professionalism that CBS brings to its clients. CBS advisors are taught the intricacies of commercial venture financing, conventional bank financing, and joint ventures. Brokers attend seminars and educational conferences throughout the United States to stay fully informed about the diverse options that exist in the marketing and sale of the businesses and properties owned by seller clients.

Michael is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Stout. He has an extensive background in sales and consulting which blends well with his ongoing post graduation development. Additionally, he has earned M&AMI (Mergers and Acquisitions Master Intermediary) and CBI (Certified Business Intermediary) designations. His experience enables him to deliver expert advice in the business brokerage and mergers and acquisitions industry, with specific areas of expertise in the core manufacturing and distribution industries. Recently, Michael closed transactions in the medical, aviation, transportation, and food/dairy industries.

Michael continues to attend industry conferences. He is a member of the International Business Broker’s Association (IBBA), M&A Source, Midwest Business Brokers and Intermediaries (MBBI), the National Association of Realtors (NAR), Wisconsin Realtors Association (WRA), Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin (CARW), New North, Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA), Wisconsin Specialty Cheese Institute (WSCI), Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association (WMCA), Wisconsin Assisted Living Association (WALA), Wisconsin Restaurant Association (WRA), and the American Staffing Association (ASA).

Clients can trust Michael to carefully consider all essential components of a successful transition. He is tremendously dedicated to his clients and is driven to deliver consistently superior results.

Valuations

Establishing exactly what a business is worth is a key step for both buyers and sellers. In some cases, business valuations are necessary for other reasons as well, such as shareholder dispute resolution, IRS filing requirements, divorce settlement or damage assessment.

The business valuation process serves as a significant asset for the business owner as well. Our business valuations assist owners to understand the key value drivers of their company along with the corresponding strengths. Once values have been determined, the true value of a business can be assessed and owners can establish a reasonable selling price.

Specialties

Services are occupations that require special training in the arts or sciences. Some require professional licenses such as architects, accountants, engineers, doctors, lawyers, and business brokers.

Regardless, the evaluation or value of a professional service business tends to be more subjective than scientific.

Consulting

Like sellers, buyers need a partner they can trust. We go well beyond simply looking at the financials of a business and take into account a wide array of factors that can determine the long-term health and viability of a business. CBS works to help you find a business that has long-term potential, room for growth and will remain profitable. We examine variables such as supply chain stability, retention of key employees, transition issues and more.

Selling a business means understanding each offer that is on the table. Our experienced consultants can assist you during negotiations and successfully help you get the best price possible for your company.
