Glen Herman, Business Intermediary with Creative Business Services/CBS-Global is pleased to announce the sale of Valley Scale Service to Nesnah Ventures of La Crosse, Wisconsin.

The family-owned private equity firm Nesnah Ventures has acquired the assets of Valley Scale Service to add to their portfolio of scale companies in the Midwest. Nesnah Ventures is a family-owned private equity firm with a “hold and grow” mentality. They seek strong businesses with proven track records that are poised for the next step in growth, but may require additional management experience, available capital, or business acumen to take it. The company was started by the children of John and Donna Hansen to carry on their family’s legacy as people-oriented, faith-driven business leaders aiming to work in service of others.

Valley Scale Service originated in Wausau, Wisconsin in 1965, under the leadership of Ralph Bliese. He, along with all of the employees at the time, were quite successful, and with that success Valley Scale Service was fortunate enough to acquire the Green Bay location from Toledo scale in 1983. The following years were also fruitful, and Valley Scale was able to acquire the Rice Lake location from Rice Lake Weighing in 1987.

In 2005 Ralph decided to transition the ownership to second generation owners, who still manage it today. Under the guidance of the second generation, many accomplishments were achieved.

Since 1979, Creative Business Services/CBS-Global has specialized in the sale of businesses and commercial real estate throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest.
